Inspired by the meeting of dark stone and sun-warmed earth, the Obsidian Desert Edition from the Regula Series by Mont Pedro Leather brings together deep black and medium brown in a composition defined by contrast, texture, and deliberate craftsmanship.

The exterior features full-grain, vegetable-tanned cowhide embossed with a distinctive crocodile pattern. Its deep-black surface reveals sculpted scales and ridges that create a subtle interplay of light and shadow, giving the leather depth and a distinctive visual character.

Complementing the exterior is full-grain, vegetable-tanned, oil-waxed cowhide in walnut brown. Warm and earthy, its understated character softens the intensity of the black while maintaining the wallet's strong visual identity.

Neither colour overwhelms the other. The balance is intentional — the boldness of black paired with the warmth of brown, bringing together contrasting materials in a cohesive design.

The wallet is assembled using traditional saddle stitching, with beige waxed thread placed at a consistent 3.38 mm stitch spacing. The lighter thread introduces a subtle contrast against the dark leather, allowing the precision of the construction to become part of the design.

Hand-creased lines define the edges, while hand-burnished finishing completes the silhouette with a clean, refined appearance. These details reflect the time and attention invested in each handmade piece.
